Thomas F. Krajewski, M.D. is the former Chief Physician for the State of Maryland and Assistant Secretary for Health who has published Elder Interventions: A Guide To Caring For The Elderly With Behavior And Emotional Problems.

Dr. Krajewski is the former Chief Physician for the State of Maryland and Assistant Secretary for Health. He has also held the position of Assistant Secretary for Addictions, Mental Hygiene and Developmental Disabilities for Maryland and was the Director of the Springfield Hospital Center, which was, at that time, the largest psychiatric hospital in the state. He has also served as Coordinator of Geropsychiatric Services for the Mental Hygiene Administration of Maryland and director of the Medical/Psychiatric Program at the Spring Grove Hospital Center.

Twice named “Top Doc” by Baltimore Magazine and co-developer of the first nursing home in the nation for AIDS patients, he has lectured nationally and internationally on topics such as Patients’ Rights, Psychological Aspects of Aids and Family Therapy as well as Geropsychiatry.

Dr. Krajewski has also appeared on programs such as the Charley Rose Show, Ted Koppel’s “Nightline” and Oprah Winfrey’s “People are Talking”.  Dr. Krajewski, who is better known as “Doctor K” to his colleagues, is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University Of Maryland.
